Welcome!
I feel truly grateful to be part of the Saint John’s community. The students, families, and staff have been incredibly welcoming, and I am filled with joy to contribute to such a supportive and vibrant environment.
Professional Background
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and a Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction from the University of St. Thomas. These academic experiences have helped shape my approach to education and deepen my passion for literacy and lifelong learning.
Personal Interests
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Justin, and our black lab, Tito. We love being outdoors—whether it's fishing (ice and open water), hunting, or spending time at our family’s cabin. I’m also an avid reader and can often be found with a good book by the lake.
Additionally, I serve as an assistant coach for the Saint John’s volleyball team. As a former athlete, I value staying connected to the sport and supporting student-athletes on and off the court.
Educational Philosophy
I believe that every child has the capacity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. My classroom is a place where students are encouraged to take risks, embrace mistakes, and view challenges as opportunities for growth. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where students can develop confidence, resilience, and a love for learning. Just as I hold myself accountable for continuous growth, I inspire my students to strive to be better than they were yesterday—academically, socially, and personally.
