Get ready for
Summer Eagle Club 2026!
June 15th – August 28th
7:00am – 5:00pM
Summer Eagle Club is an all day program that provides care for children preschool to 6th grade. It’s a great place to hang out with old friends and make new ones. Students do not need to be enrolled at SJOLC to attend the summer program, making it a great place to meet and spend time with students from all over our community.
We have weekly themes and a daily schedule that provides consistency for your child’s day. We aren’t afraid to change things up though! Starting our day as a combined PK- 6th grade group in the morning allows time for our older friends to mentor the younger ones, and also for the younger ones to gain confidence in building friendships. Most of the day is spent in similar aged groups so that we can provide age-appropriate activities. We all come back together in the afternoon to finish the day and share about our day’s adventures. Our days include themed activities like craft activities, group challenges/games, and science activities. We also include gym play, outside play, and of course, plenty of structured free-play as part of our schedule. We even have reading time every day for both groups, and rest time for our preschooler's.
Summer Eagle Club goes on a field trip once a week, with additional walks to a neighborhood park, water play days, and other special event days. This information will all be provided on a monthly Activity Calendar that goes out to parents once they are registered.
Here’s a peek into our upcoming summer…
Let’s unpack our “trunks”!
June 15–19: We will kick off our summer making new friends and learning more about old friends. We will also learn about elephants, how they use their trunks and how they build strong communities too!
Not just “lion” around:
June 22-26: This week will show “pride” for our teams through relay races, scavenger hunts and sharing acts of kindness, just like in Aesop’s fable. Whether we’re purring or roaring, we will have fun exploring these cats.
Stars & stripes
June 29 – July 3: Celebrate our country’s 250th birthday like a tiger! All of the famous tigers are invited. Who will we find on that invitation list?
Summer Eagle club closed
July 6 - 10: CLOSED for the Fourth of July Holiday and building maintenance
“Bear-ly” sitting still
July 13 - 17: When the weather warms up, bears rarely sit still for long, and neither do we! Let’s check out different kinds of transportation and what makes things go. Hmmm, what would bears prefer?
It’s all in black and white
July 20 - 24: Zebras may be black and white, but we will explore other things that are black and white as well. It’s time to put our thinking caps on as we create and solve word puzzles and games.
Sticking our necks out!
July 27 - 31: Giraffes have a great view of the night sky. We will investigate what’s up in space and just what the giraffes are seeing.
Monkeying around
August 3 - 7: While monkeys use trees and vines to travel, we use bridges and roads. Let’s think more like them and invent ways to travel like our friends the monkeys. Time to go bananas!
Come fly with me
August 10 - 14: Parrots may be talkative, but they really like to fly. We will try our hand at making simple things take flight. And we might eat some crackers!
Slip sliding away
August 17 - 21: It’s time to do the penguin slide! Everything from slippery slime to playdough to slip and slides will be on the agenda this week. What a blast!
Jumping for joy
August 24 - 28: Nobody jumps better than a kangaroo! As we are sad that summer has come to an end, we are joyful for the start of the new school year.
