Welcome!

I am so excited to be starting my second year at Saint John’s School of Little Canada! From the moment I joined the Saint John’s community, I have felt so welcomed by the students, staff, and families. I truly love the people I get to work with each day and the warm, supportive environment that makes Saint John’s such a special place. One of my favorite parts of working at Saint John’s is getting to know each student as an individual. I love creating personal connections with students and watching those relationships grow throughout the year.

Professional Background:

I am a second-grade teacher aide, and this will be my second year working in education. While this is only my second year in a school setting, I have been working with children for over six years, including through coaching figure skating. I am currently pursuing my degree in Elementary Education online through Bemidji State University. Saint John’s is my first school, and I feel very fortunate to be beginning my career in such a welcoming and caring community.

When I am not at school, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I am the oldest of two children and have a younger sister who is 13. I also have two dogs, Maddie, an English Cream Golden Retriever, and Hudson, a Black Lab/Terrier mix. In the warmer months, you can usually find me enjoying boat days, spending time with the people I love, or doing a little shopping. I have always loved being around children, and working with them has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life.

Educational Philosophy:

I believe that every child is unique and deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and supported at school. I believe that strong relationships are at the heart of learning, and I strive to take the time to get to know each student and understand what makes them special. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their accomplishments. I believe that when children know they are cared for and believed in, they are able to grow not only academically, but also socially and personally.
