Gina Johnson

Welcome!

Hello! My name is Gina Johnson, and I am blessed to be part of the kindergarten team at Saint John's. My connection to Saint John's began as a parent and classroom volunteer five years ago. Since then, my role has grown from volunteer to classroom aide to kindergarten teacher. My husband and I have two boys who attend Saint John's, making this community a special part of both my professional and family life.

Professional Background

I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a master's degree in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University. Before joining the kindergarten team, I spent 10 years as a school-based occupational therapist working in special education. My background in child development and experience supporting children with a wide range of strengths and needs continue to shape the way I teach and help me recognize the unique gifts each child brings to our classroom.

My Why

As a parent, I have had the privilege of watching my own children grow at Saint John's—not only academically, but also in their faith. Seeing that growth firsthand is a beautiful reminder of why I feel so called to this work.
Kindergarten is such a special beginning. I love creating a classroom where children feel known, loved, and excited to learn; where we can build strong academic foundations while nurturing faith, kindness, curiosity, and confidence. It is a joy and a privilege to partner with families during this important year and to help our youngest learners discover just how capable they are.
