Welcome!  
Since 2010 I have looked forward to going work at St. John's of Little Canada School. I have had the privilege of teaching in the middle school, third grade, and now, this year, fifth grade. I’m passionate about creating a classroom where every child feels valued, inspired, and ready to take on new challenges. I look forward to another wonderful year together filled with learning, faith, and fun!
Professional Background:  
I am a "Bennie" with a degree from the College of Saint Benedict in Elementary Education. I continued my education in pursuit of a master's degree in Special Education, but after nearly finishing decided that my passion was an elementary classroom. Two years ago, I became a certified Wilson tutor. I use those studies and my thirty-some years of experience in my daily lessons. My lesson planning is rooted in Catholic values, guiding students to grow academically while developing his or her faith, empathy and compassion. When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my three grown kids and my husband of over 30 years. We enjoy cooking together, boating or snowshoeing on White Bear Lake, gardening, and working on our home. Our Old English Sheepdogs, Sig and Hooley, along with our beautiful kitten, Simone, keep us active and entertained.

As a Catholic teacher at St. John’s, I am committed to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—within a faith-filled, caring community. I believe education is a sacred partnership among teachers, students, families, and God - where each child is cherished as a unique creation with boundless potential. My goal is to foster a student-centered classroom where every child feels respected, supported, and encouraged to discover and develop their many gifts and talents.
