Kathy LaCasse

Welcome!    
My name is Kathy LaCasse. I most often work remotely, primarily with TADS admissions, registration, and financial assistance, as well as Educate admin.  However, as with most office jobs, I wear a variety of hats and am happy to tackle many other projects that come our way!  I am so happy to be back working with this amazing staff!  I have three children who attended St. Peter's in NSP,  where my husband attended grade school.  All three have already graduated from college and are all gainfully employed. Two of our children have married, and two beautiful granddaughters have joined the family!  Our golden retriever/german shorthair pointer dog, Finn, shares the spotlight as the family favorite along with those granddaughters.  When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my extended family and friends. I love music, binge-watching TV series, and game nights. Of course, I always love to work on a good spreadsheet - hence the love of my job!

Professional Background:  
I have a degree from the College of Saint Scholastica in Elementary Education (K-6), with a math minor. I began working as a middle school math teacher at another Catholic school for two years before having kids and becoming a full-time mom.  When my youngest went to school full-time, I worked as an admin at a tax firm for 8 years.  When I came across the opening at Saint John's, I knew I couldn't pass it up!  I have been fortunate enough to attend Catholic schools my entire life, starting here at Saint John's before moving to St. Jerome's, Hill-Murray for high school, and CSS for college.  

Education Philosophy: 
Education doesn't just happen in the classroom.  I believe a child has the most success when a strong community surrounds and supports their learning.
