Welcome My name is Lucy Reinart, and I teach 2nd grade here at St. John’s. I love this school community and am grateful to be part of it. In 2nd grade, we not only progress in reading, math, and science, but we also introduce students to the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. It is an exciting time, full of growth and joy!
Academic Background I graduated with my bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2024 and have worked as a Kindergarten-4th Grade teaching aide, substitute teacher, and after-school care employee both here at St. John’s and other Catholic schools in the archdiocese.
Personal Information When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors in every season. In the summer, you’ll find me at the lake on a paddle board, and, in the winter, on a ski hill or ice rink. I also enjoy being an aunt! I have one niece and one nephew and love spending time with my family and friends. Finally, I’m always in the middle of a good book and trying to work through my Goodreads list.
Education Philosophy The most important thing to me is that my students know they are loved, belong in our classroom, and, with hard work, CAN succeed. I appreciate getting to know them and their families to offer better support academically. I also encourage a 2nd grader’s sense of wonder and curiosity about the world to bring our curriculum to life.
