Roxane Klepperich

Welcome!

I am so excited to be joining Saint John’s as one of the 6th Grade Homeroom/Religion teachers and Middle School Science and Art Teacher this year! I truly love working with students, and I am looking forward to an amazing year filled with learning, creativity, and fun.

Professional Background

I graduated from Hamline University with a bachelor’s degree in German and International Relations.

I have worked at Saint John’s in various roles over the years, and I feel truly blessed to continue being part of this wonderful community. I spent nine years working in the preschool and eight years with Eagle Club, which gave me the opportunity to work with and get to know students across many different age groups. After my time in preschool, I stepped away from the school setting for a while to help with our family business. It was an incredibly rewarding experience, but I quickly realized how much I missed being part of a Catholic school community and, most of all, working with students. That brought me back to education as a substitute teacher for three years before returning to Saint John’s last year as a long-term substitute.

A little about me: I have been married to my wonderful husband for 23 years, and we have an amazing daughter who is attending the University of Minnesota. Fun fact: I attended Saint John’s School, as did our daughter! I love spending time with my family, 3 dogs, 2 parakeets, and some fish. Family is incredibly important to me, and I feel very fortunate to be part of the Saint John’s family as well.

Educational Philosophy

My educational philosophy is what I like to call “keeping it old school.” I believe strongly in hands-on, engaging learning experiences that encourage students to explore, create, ask questions, and learn by doing. I have found that many students thrive when they can actively participate in what they are learning, and I am excited to bring that approach to both the science lab and the art classroom this year.
