We have an economy in our classroom fueled by hard work and reward. Each classroom job is a paid position changing each month. A paycheck is received on our scheduled "economy Fridays" and desk rent as well as debits and fines will be paid to the bank. Credits will be paid to each student and deposits and withdrawals will be recorded. It is a fun way to begin to learn the basic rules of an economy and it is a remarkable motivator for the students. We will tweak the program to fit our changing needs and the students will have a vote in all decisions. Money earned can be spent on trimester parties, classroom coupons, and silent auctions. We are always looking for food, cash donations, new and gently used items, and gift cards that appeal to third graders! Look for a Sign-Up Genius on newsletters throughout the year.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body ,and life everlasting. Amen.
We give you thanks for all of your gifts, Almighty God; living and reigning now and forever. May the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
